Columbus Blue Jackets Pepsi Power Patrol

Friend of the Blog Holly (former AFL Columbus Destroyers Bombshell, former Cincinnati Ben-Gal) wrote us that the photos are up for the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets Pepsi Power Patrol. :

Power Patrol

From the Bluejackets Website:

"Meet the Pepsi Power Patrol as you enter Nationwide Arena on game nights, where team members will choose contestants for in-game contests and pose for pictures with fans young and old. Keep and eye out during the game to spot your favorite members. Whether they're dropping Chipotle Chutes from the skies of Nationwide Arena, tossing Donatos pizza boxes to hungry Jackets fans, or getting everyone on their feet for the Mega T-shirt launches, the Pepsi Power Patrol stays busy keeping the crowd cheering during timeouts and intermissions. The Pepsi Power Patrol makes the game experience an unforgettable one for all Blue Jackets fans... so next time you see them, make sure to say hello!"

Holly is in her fourth year with the Power Patrol. Along with Kyle that's the longest tenure on the team. Eight members work each game, and through alternation and rotation each member gets a chance to work everyone else on the team.

While Holly danced for the Columbus Destroyers, Power Patrol members Megan, Sarah, and Taylor part of the Destroyers Spirit, the club's promotions team.

Holly last season (left) and this season in the new PP uniform.

Holly has lifelong connections to hockey. Her dad played and coached hockey. She lived in Minnesota and Sweden before she moved to Columbus when she was for. And she still has many relatives in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Like the Destroyers, the Blue Jackets have been like a family to her over the years. As she puts it, "My life has definitely been enriched by being a part of the Destroyers and Blue Jackets. They are honestly like my second families. I have been shaped into the woman I am today because of a lot of the people I have worked with over the years. I cherish each and every moment I've spent here in Columbus and couldn't imagine where I'd be without all these wonderful colleagues and friends!"
