There was a familiar face on tonight's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance." That blonde with the red-streaked hair was Susie Garcia, a six-year veteran of the Miami Heat Dancers. Although they didn't say anything on the show about her affiliation with the Heat, they did point out that little miss Susie teaches high school. High School dance, to be more specific. So it's no surprise (A) that she's frequently mistaken for one of the students, and (B) that she made it to the next round of competition on this show. Tomorrow night, Susie and the other semi-finalists compete in Vegas for the top 20 spots on the show. Congratulations, girl! Work it out!
On a related note, two of the judges this season are Tabitha and Napoleon D'umo, and they freaking rule. I saw them in action at ProDance last year and they are super dancers, super talented, and super fun to work with. Among their many other gigs, they also do some terrific choreography for various NBA and NFL dance teams. Two snaps up for the D'umos. Woot!
