Shake it Like a Pom Pom!

Calgary Stampeders: The 2008 Calgary Stampeder Outrider auditions took place on Sunday, March 9th at Cardel Place. Nearly 100 anxious ladies auditioned to be part of one of Calgary's most sought after dance teams. Among those judging the competition were Country 105's Dan Carson, Stampeder players Scott Coe, Jeff Pilon, Terrence Patrick and Pat McDonald and many Outrider alumni.

The audition consisted of floor techniques and a dance combination to Missy Elliott's 'Shake it Like a Pom Pom'. The dancers also learned a cheer that will be used to pump up fans at McMahon in 2008. This year's hopefuls all impressed the judges with their advanced athleticism and dance ability.

The final roster is nearly in place and practices will begin shortly. The 2008 Outriders are excited for their debut on June 13th with the Stamps taking on the Eskimos in a pre-season match-up at McMahon and can't wait to cheer on the Stampeders to a Grey Cup victory in Montreal. Check back soon for the first glimpse at the 2008 Outrider dance and cheer team.
