Professional Cheerleaders Alumni Judge Local Cheerleading Competition

On Saturday, April 12th Professional Cheerleaders Alumni (PCA) members Darlene Clancy, Cheryl O’Brien, Marsha McCoy and Jocelyn Geronimo, served as judges for the Communities in Schools’ TEAM UP After School Program’s 9th Annual Cheerleading Competition held at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida. Six elementary and seven middle schools showed off their talents in front of an audience of more than 3,000.

Among the judges was Joyce Morgan Danford, a motivational speaker, with over 21 years broadcasting experience and former Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader. Each judge received a certificate of appreciation and official event t-shirt.

Communities in Schools are the leading student-centered non-profit in Jacksonville that provides quality after school programming services to students in Duval County. There are 13 TEAM UP after school program sites and deliver services to over 1400 students. The competition theme this year was women’s health with information and blood pressure screenings provided by Shands Hospital.
