It sees like the Pro Bowl was just a couple of weeks ago (Actually it was). But it's time already for NFL Cheerleader Auditions. The Ravens, who are perennially the first squad to hold tryouts, start this weekend.

If you've always wanted to be a Ravens Cheerleader, now is your chance. The team is holding tryouts this weekend.

They've got the moves and high hopes. Soon some of those trying out could be performing in front of 70,000 people.

"Some people love to perform in front of a big crowd. We perform in front of 70,000 people," Beverly, a Ravens Cheerleader, said.

Kate made the squad last year.

"It's nice to interact with the fans. Recently I did an appearance at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I saw the soldiers who fought for our country and who were wounded in Iraq. It was a really touching experience," Kate said.

The Ravens have the only full co-ed team in the NFL and they all say it's a thrill to be on the field.

It's a lot more than just performing at M&T Bank Stadium. Ravens Cheerleaders average about 30 community appearances a year.

"We do lots of events around the holidays. It's a great opportunity to show how the Ravens family supports the community," Beverly said.

For the cheerleaders in waiting, making the 60-member team is like a ticket to the Super Bowl.

The auditions at Merritt's Downtown Athletic Club begin 9:30am. Saturday.
