YOKOSUKA, Japan (NNS) -- The official dancing team of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Orlando Magic came to visit and show their support for Sailors and their families at Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY), Nov. 29.

The performers delivered their high-energy dance routines and signed autographs at other military installations in Japan. In addition to Yokosuka, they toured the Army's Camp Zama, Fleet Activities Sasebo and Okinawa.

After wrapping up the Japan leg of their tour, the dancers will visit U.S. military personnel stationed in the Republic of Korea.

/2"The dancers came here to show their support to the Sailors and their families during the holiday season," said Brent Williams of Yokosuka's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation. "Having the dancers here gives an uplifting cheer to all the Sailors and their families while away from home."

The dancers greeted Sailors and their families, signed autographs, joined the Sailors for lunch, held a youth dance clinic and put on a performance for members of the CFAY community.

"It's great to be able to come here and give thanks to our troops and their families for everything that they do for our country," said Tara Pescator, a member of the Orlando Magic Dancers. "It's great to be able to bring a little bit of the NBA to our troops and give back to them for everything that they do for us."
