Where is She Now: Kerri Miskimon

Posted by James at 3:39 PM ET

Kerri, Baltimore Blast CheerleaderThere's someone missing from the Baltimore Blast games this season. Good friend of the blog, Kerri Miskimon, decided to hang up her boots after 4 seasons as a Blast Cheerleader.

The 2006 UMBC graduate is now working for The Coastal Alliance aka Atlantic Cheer & Dance Championships (ACDC). Coastal puts events and competitions like The All Star Cheerleading Masters Open Nationals (NJ, PA & TX), The Maryland State Championship at the 1st Mariner Arena, and Battle at the Capitol Cheer & Dance Nationals in Fairfax, Virginia.

In her position as an Event Sales Director, Kerri contacts teams all over America to promote Coastal's events, she goes on gym visits, and also gets to travel across the country to take part in the events. Kerri says since she's been cheering & dancing all her life, it really gave her an appreciation for the industry when she got to see it from a behind-the-scenes point of view.

There's are additional Blast connections at Coastal. Serena Andrews, the owner and founder is a former Blast Cheer Coach, and 2 of Kerri's co-workers, Dimi & Stacie, are also former Blast Cheerleaders.

Outside of Coastal Kerri's still continuing to dance. She's in her 21st year with The Shirley Darling Dancer, where she now teaches a hip-hop class.

Everyone keeps asking Kerri if she'll go back to the Blast next year. She says, "Right now it's sort of up in the air, but The four years I spent with the Blast were awesome, so I would never say never!"
