The Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders are in London this week ahead of their team’s home game at Wembley on Sunday October 28th against the New York Giants, and have been touring the city spreading the word about American football.

On Wednesday morning several of the girls visited schools in South London to coach budding British cheerleaders and pass on advice that could one day see them touring the world with an NFL team.

“I really liked getting the opportunity to coach cheerleaders this morning at the clinic,” said Dolphins Cheerleader Lynne Martin. “It is great to see the interest young British girls have in cheerleading.”

Later in the day they headed to central London and the Houses of Commons, where they posed for pictures with an all-party group of members of parliament.

“It was great to be at a building that has so much history and meet the members of parliament,” added Dolphins cheerleader Stefani Martin.

The cheerleaders are scheduled to make other stops around London over the next few days before hitting the field at Wembley on Sunday afternoon. Among the stops they will make will be with ‘Big JT’ the 26-foot animatronic touring London in the lead up to the game.

On Saturday shoppers can see them in Lakeside Shopping Centre and at Soccer Scene on Carnaby Street at midday, as well as in Virgin Megastore on Tottenham Court Road at 1:00pm.

“We are having so much fun being back in London for this visit, and it is so exciting to see the passion that the people of London have for the Dolphins and the NFL,” added Lynne.

They will also make an appearance at the NFL Tailgate party at Wembley Arena on gameday, where they will perform and sign copies of their 2008 calendar, before the 5pm kick-off of the game.
