Chargers vs Seahawks - NFL Preseason Week 1

Posted by David Allen Tyau at 11:06 PM ET

NFL football has got to be the most popular sport in the United States. What other sport can charge full price admission to watch guys play, who in three weeks won’t even be in the league. That’s the irony about professional football; it’s more than just the product on the field. And though the football is mediocre, the cheerleading is first rate. When it comes to the Charger Girls, there are no scrubs on this squad. For these girls, the NFL preseason is a “regular” season performance and another chance to entertain the crowd.

Although it’s early August, 2007 Line Captain Summer is in midseason form.

Preseason football is a time to evaluate new talent, install new plays, and to get players into shape. The game play is “so-so”, but NFL football is more than just the action on the field. It’s the entire experience that makes it worth the price of admission. And for those interested, the Charger scrubs lost to the Seahawks scrubs, 24-16.
