Getting Ready for the Jungle
Time is going so fast for the BenGals as we are just a few short weeks away from our first preseason game. The girls have made tremendous progress in their 8 week practice period.

Last night in Georgetown the BenGals got their first big appearance including a 3 minute performance on the field during the scrimmage. Mary, Traci, and I stood there like "proud parents". We were very encouraged with the performance as well as the rookies who stepped up to the plate and blended like the vets!! We loved it.

We had some special guests with us who cheered in the past to give the girls words of encouragement. Brooke, Daphne, Sharon, and Seazun were all in town to celebrate Coach Traci's birthday. They came into the dressing area to share their experiences with the squad. Not only were they encouraging but their words meant a lot and the timing was great.

After leaving the BenGals Seazun, was fortunate to cheer Super Bowl with the Colts and has now moved on to the NBA Pacers. The BenGals appreciated hearing from these pros.

Deanna our Captain is still out from her ACL surgery and is expected to miss the first 2 games. She could cheer with a brace, but we feel it is safer to wait it out until the brace can come off and she is 100%!! Of course, she was video taping last night to show the girls the evidence!!

In the last few months we have also been so fortunate to have great support from our calendar sponsors and partners. Our salon of choice, Perfections did a tremendous job and the BenGals are loving all of the attention that Perfections provides. Coaches are too!! Thanks to Perfections owners Kenneth Callopy and Jill Wirltzberger who took over this year and tastefully designed hair styles for 29 ladies in a 5 day period shoot. Great people and extremely talented.

Steven Edingberg formally of Emerge carried us as well and worked next to Kenneth to get the ladies completed. We have some others to thank as well and will do so real soon. Without these people, we could not have pulled off such a professional job.

Speaking of calendar...stay tuned. Our big unveiling will be Wednesday, Sept 5 at Mesh in West Chester. Thanks to Paul Sturkey and company, we now have a new relationship with the new first class Mesh Restaurant. The unveiling will be opened to the public and will be the very first showing of the calendar which will then go on sale in the Pro Shop for the big Monday night football game. The cheerleaders will be present for a meet and greet at 6:30 with the unveiling to follow at 7:00. There is no admission cost and we welcome all of our friends, families, and fans.

We are all so excited for August 18th, and are working hard on our charities
too. The girls are all so committed, talented, and beautiful. I couldn't be
happier with them.

Look forward to seeing a lot of you real soon.
