Dolphins Cheerleaders at the Tour de France

Posted by Sasha at 5:09 PM ET

The Tour de France began on Saturday. The Tour hadn't come through the UK since 1994 and this year was the very first time that the race began in England. This was also the first year the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders were on hand to generate excitement and entertain the fans. The Dolphins organization has been right in the thick of the NFL's push to increase their presence in the UK, so this development isn't entirely surprising. Tour fans weren't quite sure what to make of the cheerleaders, but they sure looked glad to see them!

Meanwhile, check out the MDC's new uniforms for 2007. It looks like Heather Fraga, MDC director decided to kick the sailor theme up a notch this year and switched things up a bit by putting the squad in shorts instead of the white skirts they've been wearing for the past seven years.

Off with the old...

...and on with the new!
