The Big Summer Contest(s)

Posted by James at 4:57 AM ET

First to whet your appetites, here are the prizes:

The Prizes

Big thanks to the Redskins Melanie Treanor for supplying a pair of genuine Washington Redskins Cheerleaders pom poms complete with a letter of authenticity. We also have the very hot 2006-07 Washington Redskins Cheerleader Swimsuit Calendar and the 2006-07 Denver Nuggets Dancer Magazine chock full of photos and articles on the dance team.

Now the challenges.

First Contest

Back in April we noted that Redskins Cheerleaders Anna and Sharica were now each with their third NFL Cheerleading squad.

Anna, Ravens Cheerleader
Anna started with the Ravens.

Anna, Seattle Sea Gal
Moved on to the Sea Gals.

Anna, Redskins Cheerleader
And now is with the Redskins.

Sharica, Ravens Cheerleader
Sharica also started with the Ravens.

Sharica, Texans Cheerleader
Then she was in Houston with the Texans.

Sharica, Redskins Cheerleader
And now also is with the Redskins.

At the time I wondered if this was a record, or was there ever a cheerleader on 4 (or more!) NFL Cheerleading squads. That's the first challenge, find someone who cheered for 4 or more NFL squads.

Second Contest

Let's not just limit ourselves to the NFL this time. Now we're looking for the person who's been on the most different Cheerleading Squads and Dance Teams. Any sport, any league, as long as it's professional. Right now the most I think I've seen is four.

Vandana Patel, Cavaliers Girl Director
Cavalier Girls Director Vandana Patel has been a San Jose SaberKitten, a Golden State Warrior Girl, a Phoenix Suns Dancer and an Arizona Cardinals Cheerleader.

Robin, Oakland Raiderette
Current Oakland Raiderette Robin has also been a member of the SF 49ers Gold Rush, a Golden State Warrior Girl and a San Jose SaberKitten.

Jennifer, Jacksonville ROAR
Jennifer of the Jacksonville ROAR was also a Carolina Cobras SnakeCharmer, a Carolina Rhinos Rhinestone, and a Greenville Grrrowl Girl.

Third Contest

Finally, I planning on doing another list page. I'd like to list all the Cheerleaders/Dancers who've ever been on 3 or more teams. So to avoid having to do all the work, I'm looking for a list of the most ladies (and guys!) who have been on 3 or more Cheerleading Squads and Dance Teams. You'd be off to a good start just by checking out all the names on the sidebar of the blog. Again any sports, any team, any country, as long as it's professional. No high schools, no colleges.

Details

The person who submits the NFL Cheerleader on the most (at least 4) squads gets first choice from the three prizes. In the case of a tie, the first entry received will get the prize.

The person who submits the cheerleader/dancer on the most (at least 5) squads regardless of sport or league gets second choice from the three prizes. In the case of a tie, the first entry received will get the prize.

The person who submits the most numbers of cheerleader/dancers on three or more squads regardless of sport or league gets the remaining prize. In the case of a tie, the first entry received will get the prize.

All the prizes will be awarded. If there are no winning entires for the first and/or second contests, the second, and if necessary the third, place finishers in the third contest will get prizes.

Franchises that move count as one team (e.g. Cheering for the Raiders in both Los Angeles and Oakland counts as one)

Submit entires to james@procheerleaderblog.com. Deadline for entries is midnight, Sunday July 22nd. All judges decisions are final. Void where prohibited by law. Not responsible for misdirected or undelivered e-mail. Blah...blah...blah.
