Sunday Morning the Buccaneers Cheerleaders were decked out in their red pirate-themed uniforms, which have always been a favorite of mine.
Bucs Cheerleader Director Sandy Charboneau told us that the squad recently returned from a 15-day trip to Hawaii. The Cheerleaders split there time between Maui where they shot their new swimsuit calendar and Oahu where the Cheerleaders visited military installations.
Sandy also tells us the Cheerleaders Section of Buccaneers.com is going to be completely revamped with plenty of new photos and video, so be on the lookout for the new site.
It's the delightfully charming Rachel Watson now in her third season with the Bucs Cheerleaders. Rachel's an Elementary Education Major at the University of South Florida and her goal is to be a first grade teacher. Recently, she's doing a lot of interning a lot, so like most professional cheerleaders, scheduling and time pressures have been a challenge.
Rachel originally tried out for the squad, because she wanted to be part of a team. And as it turned out as much as she loves game day and performing, she says the best part of being a Tampa Bay Cheerleader is being on that team of wonderful, supportive women.
