Former KC Chiefs Cheerleader is Mrs. Louisiana

A big round of applause for former Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader Najahe Hall, who was crowned Mrs. Louisiana last month. Here's the official press release:

"We all have the power to encourage, to inspire and to make a difference. As Mrs. Louisiana America I look forward to making a difference in the lives of children throughout our state." Najahe Hall of Shreveport, Louisiana was crowned Mrs. Louisiana America in Lake Charles, Louisiana on April 21, 2007 at the beautiful Rosa Hart Theatre. During her year as Mrs. Louisiana America Najahe will be a voice for the underprivileged children of Louisiana, bringing attention to the issues they face, making known the programs available to help them be successful, and letting you know how you can make a difference in the lives of children. Najahe says, "I believe today's youth is tomorrow's future and by making a difference in a child’s life you are taking part in what I believe to be one of the greatest investments in life. I look forward to traveling to your community and encouraging you to take part in this effort."

Najahe Hall, Mrs. Louisiana

In early September Mrs. Louisiana America Najahe Hall will travel to Tucson, Arizona where she will compete on national TV for the title of Mrs. America. Each year, 51 delegates (from each U.S state and the District of Columbia) compete for the coveted title. Imitated but never duplicated, "MRS. AMERICA" remains the first, and still the foremost competition for married women! This Renowned national competition is devoted to emphasizing that America's 65 million married women are beautiful, poised, articulate, versatile, and are incredible change agents in society. Mrs. America 2007 will proceed to compete for the title of Mrs. World in Sochi, Russia. The Mrs. America Pageant is a prime time television special televised on WE (Women's Entertainment). The Women's Entertainment Network features some of the most accomplished women throughout the world.

Najahe Hall, Mrs. Louisiana

Mrs. Louisiana America Najahe Hall is a morning anchor for KSLA News 12 TV. She also anchors the noon newscast and reports for the station. Throughout Najahe's tenure as a journalist she has held a variety of positions including evening anchor, producer, reporter and photographer. Najahe has covered many interesting news stories including the 2004 Iowa caucuses. When she's not working, Najahe enjoys skiing, dancing, and golfing with her husband, who is a golf professional. She also enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to visit many countries "My travels have helped me develop a strong respect for various cultures. I have learned, behind every individual, there is a unique story waiting to be told." Najahe Hall is also a former NFL Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleader. She holds a broadcast journalism degree from the University of Kansas, William Allen White School of Journalism.
