Let's Hear it for Aaron's AFL Dream Team!
Sissy always sends us great behind-the-scenes photos of her adventures as a member of not one, not two, but THREE pro cheerleader teams. At the same time! Sissy is a Tennessee Titans Cheerleader. She's a member of the Nashville Kats Music City Kittens. And last weekend, she was a member of Aaron's AFL Arena Bowl Dream Team. The Dream Team spent five terrific days in Las Vegas, promoting the game, performing, and getting to know one another and now we get to hear all about it from someone who was right in the middle of it all.
Sissy's 2006 Arena Bowl Diary
Hello all!
I have just returned from a fabulous five day trip to Las Vegas where I represented the Nashville Kats at Arena Bowl XX as an Aaron’s Dream Team member. The trip was amazing to say the least. Here is a quick rundown: We all arrived on Wednesday and were transported to the Excalibur Hotel where we would be staying. We checked in and immediately went to practice at the Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus. Once there, it was full speed ahead! First on the list was practice. We had all received our DVD’s prior to our arrival, so we knew the routines; we just had to clean them. We were led by Utah Blaze director Nicole Pearson and her assistant Karen Remo. After practice, received our gear for the week. The AFL League gave us warm ups, shoes, bags, boots, poms, polo shirts and our Aaron’s Dream Team signature uniforms. The uniforms are new this year and they looked great.
Our five day trip had many highlights. They included interviews on Radio Row, the video/photo shoot, Fan Fest at the Arena, the Arena Bowl Awards Show, and the biggest thrill, performing with Third Eye Blind at Arena Bowl XX. Aaron’s also showed their appreciation to the Dream Team with a dinner in our honor. Once there, we were presented with Josten’s pendants complete with our name and year on the back.
To sum it up, Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership and the Arena Football leaguetreated us like ‘rock stars’, as they called it. The staff made sure we were where we needed to be and were always one step ahead of us. Special thanks to Aaron’s, the AFL, Nicole Pearson, Karen Nemo and Mike Pepperman for their tireless efforts to make this week a success! I also want to thank the Dream Team for being the professional, poised beautiful women that they are!! Next years Dream Team can anticipate a very memorable week! Much love to all!
