Playboy and ESPN Hollywood
The November issue of Playboy hit newsstands this week. Thanks to reader Matt Z. for sending us the Q&A with New England Patriots Cheerleader Alison Preston.

Previous posts on Alison here and here.
Matt also informs us that ESPN Hollywood has been doing a stellar job of covering professional cheerleaders. In the past two weeks both the Dolphins and Broncos cheerleaders recent overseas trips were featured. And this upcoming Monday there will be a segment on the recent selection of the Seattle Sonics Dancers and they'll be talking with our good friend Ali Dudek.

ESPN Hollywood generally airs weekdays on ESPN2 at 6pm and Midnight ET, but you should check your local listings.
Update: Reader Scott Q. informs us that Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleader Victoria Vodar was the "Employee of the Month" in October's Playboy and he send us her Q&A.

Patriots' Fan Flamer Alison Preston Heats Up Chilly Gillette Stadium
Playboy: What's the attraction to cheerleading?
Alison: It's a rush to run out onto the field with 77,000 fans
looking at you. Plus I get to dance and watch football at the same
time.
Playboy: What do you do on the squad?
Alison: I'm one of six captains. We have to know what's going on,
whether the team's on offense or defense. We watch the game and cheer
between plays.
Playboy: How do you stay in shape?
Alison: I take dance or aerobics classes. I don't see any reason to
run five miles.
Playboy: What's it like to cheer through those Massachusetts winters?
Alison: It does get cold out there -- at some point in the season we
have to give up our uniforms for long pants and jackets. We're
covered in layers with only our faces exposed, and with all the
dancing around we start to sweat, but our faces are still freezing.
Once a girl's eyes started to water in the cold wind, and her tears
literally froze to her face. But I think the weather is an advantage
for our team.

Playboy: Do you like cheering for the Buccaneers?
Victoria: It's a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. Sometimes we practice four times a week. But I like pumping up the crowd.
Playboy: Any perks?
Victoria: We have the best seats in the house.
Playboy: So you're really following the game?
Victoria: Yeah, I love football. You have to pay attention because you don't want to cheer when something goes against your team. During tryouts we had to take a football quiz.
Playboy: Do guys hit on you at the game?
Victoria: Yes, they will try to get your attention by yelling something crazy, but you just keep smiling and cheering.
Playboy: What can we say -- a girl with a nice set of pom-poms is every guy's fantasy.
Victoria: And we just got new uniforms that are more revealing. Check us out in the photo gallery at buccaneers.com. Fortunately I haven't had any wardrobe malfunctions -- yet.
